Hace treinta a\u00f1os naci\u00f3 un sue\u00f1o sobre qu\u00e9 <\/b>El New York Times<\/i><\/b> En su momento fue considerada "la peor manzana de la ciudad de Nueva York".\u201c <\/b>Ese primer sue\u00f1o, un sue\u00f1o que nunca se acababa \u2014que los j\u00f3venes de nuestras comunidades tuvieran un lugar seguro y bonito donde jugar, aprender y crecer\u2014 floreci\u00f3 a partir de una modesta liga de b\u00e9isbol hasta convertirse en una red en expansi\u00f3n de escuelas aut\u00f3nomas DREAM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pero nunca hemos perdido de vista lo que realmente significa ser ni\u00f1o y c\u00f3mo fomentar ese desarrollo. Por eso, ahora construimos escuelas que combinan rigor acad\u00e9mico y alegr\u00eda para atender a los estudiantes en un modelo de jornada y a\u00f1o escolar extendidos, que integra la excelencia acad\u00e9mica con el aprendizaje socioemocional. Juntos, este enfoque garantiza que DREAM atienda al ni\u00f1o de forma integral, brind\u00e1ndole todo lo que necesita y merece para prosperar desde la primera infancia hasta la juventud.<\/span><\/p>\n

Y ahora, en nuestro trig\u00e9simo aniversario, mientras miramos hacia nuestro pasado y planificamos nuestro futuro, seguimos so\u00f1ando a lo grande.\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Cuando so\u00f1amos solos, es solo eso: so\u00f1ar. Pero cuando so\u00f1amos juntos, es cuando el cambio real se vuelve posible.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

La rica historia de DREAM nos brinda la base para so\u00f1ar en grande y con audacia para el futuro, de la mano de nuestra comunidad. 2020 fue un cap\u00edtulo singular en esa historia, uno que nos puso a prueba, pero que en los cap\u00edtulos venideros, creemos que recordaremos con orgullo. A lo largo de nuestra trayectoria, siempre nos hemos expandido cuando muchos otros se contra\u00edan y hemos dado un paso al frente cuando la primera impresi\u00f3n nos dec\u00eda que retrocedi\u00e9ramos. La colaboraci\u00f3n de toda nuestra comunidad lo hizo posible, y es lo \u00fanico que nos sostendr\u00e1 durante los pr\u00f3ximos 30 a\u00f1os y m\u00e1s all\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es por eso <\/b>Lanzamos la celebraci\u00f3n de nuestro 30.\u00ba aniversario con nuestra campa\u00f1a "So\u00f1ando juntos".<\/b><\/a>. <\/b>DREAM es una organizaci\u00f3n basada en relaciones e impulsada por las personas. Est\u00e1 compuesta por personal, familias, exalumnos, simpatizantes y otros miembros de la comunidad que, juntos, construyen el futuro de DREAM: triplicando el n\u00famero de j\u00f3venes a los que atendemos mediante nuestro modelo integral de jornada y a\u00f1o escolar extendidos, construyendo m\u00e1s escuelas en m\u00e1s lugares y trabajando juntos por un cambio generacional equitativo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de todo, apenas estamos comenzando. A lo largo de 2021, esperen mucho m\u00e1s de nosotros mientras celebramos este hito: historias de impacto, eventos virtuales y con distanciamiento social, encuentros de exalumnos, oportunidades de voluntariado y muchas m\u00e1s formas de participar.
