our outcomes

While many schools emphasize academics and social-emotional learning, DREAM also equally champions health and wellness along with in-depth family and community engagement. The integration of these four core pillars of our work distinguishes DREAM and drives successful outcomes for our scholars, families, and communities.

Todos los niños pueden. Este chico puede.

This maxim is more than just a motto—it’s our belief that every child has limitless potential, and our scholars embody this every day.

In 2021, DREAM Charter High School’s first-ever senior class had a 100% graduation rate

73% of youth in grades K-12 experienced growth in SEL competencies over the course of the school year

Our students regularly outperform district, city, and state peers

In a typical summer, our K–5th grade REAL Kids spend

hours reading, writing, and working in the classroom

hours throwing, catching, and hitting on the ballfield

hours developing social-emotional competencies with caring coaches and peers

as a result

Since 2010, 97% of our REAL Kids summer program participants have avoided summer learning loss. This remained true even after pivoting to remote programming in summer 2020—a true testament to the efficacy of our Whole Child approach.

Verano de DREAM is family

Our families are our scholars’ first teachers, and their partnership is critical. We value being able to work alongside our families to create the best outcomes for our scholars, while deepening our roots within our communities. But don’t just take it from us, see how our families feel.

de las familias se sienten bienvenidas en DREAM

de las familias dicen que DREAM tiene grandes expectativas para sus hijos

of families are satisfied with opportunities to be involved in their child’s education

of families report that their child is learning what they need to succeed in college and beyond

“The staff at DREAM have changed [my son’s] life tremendously. DREAM is always there for us; a problem is never too big for them. I would advise any parent to try to get their kid into DREAM.”

- Mel, DREAM Parent

Our Scholars
Continue to DREAM Big

2021 marks the graduation year of DREAM Charter High School’s founding class - but DREAM has a rich history of postsecondary success with our out-of-school program participants. In school and out-of-school, we believe in youth voice and choice, and know that postsecondary success isn’t a one-size-fits-all model. We are proud to support our scholars through college and direct-to-career upward pathways so that they can realize their vision of success.
